1) Visit the three major Pyramids:
Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest and oldest pyramid among the three. It stands tall in the middle of Khafre’s and Menkaure’s pyramids. There are 3 chambers inside the pyramid and these include the King’s Chamber, Queen’s Chamber and Subterranean Chamber. The other two pyramids include that of Khafre (Chefren) and Menkaure (Mykerinus).
2) The Great Sphinx:
The Sphinx is a limestone statue of the mythical creature with a Pharoah’s head. According to the different historians’ beliefs, this statue is a depiction of Pharaoh Khafre’s face and a lion’s body.
3) Alongside the three pyramids, you will also view tombs for ancient Queens.
4) The Valley Temple of Khafre:
The temple is part of the funerary complex and lies close to the pyramids. Pharaoh Khafre’s funeral rituals were performed at this temple. The king’s body was taken through purification, embalming and Opening of the Mouth ceremonies before it was transported to the Pyramid.
