Early in the morning after breakfast you will  be the hotel by  Select Adventure Safari guide and you will later head  to  Tarangire national park, the drive will take you approximately  3 hours  to get to Tarangire, as soon as you get to Tarangire  you will head straight for lunch and later after lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive experience, the drive will expose to large herds of  elephants ,  along other wildlife , you will also be able to see the  giant baobab  which  make Tarangire  such a unique destination.  Later after the game drive, retire to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer Serengeti national park.

 Following the third day of the 8 days Tanzania safari, have breakfast and later embark on a drive to Serengeti national park, one of the most thrilling experiences the drive will take you approximately 4 hours to get to Serengeti National park.  Upon arrival, you will head for lunch and after lunch, you will commence your first adventure of the great Serengeti. Day 7: Drive to lake Manyara national park.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you exit Ngorongoro conservation and head lake Manyara national park ,  another hidden gems of Tanzania , the  drive from  Ngorongoro  conservation area  is 1 hour, upon  reaching  there, you  will embark  on a drive in search for wildlife. Day 8:  Return to your Arusha.

Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania!

Your driver/guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer you to Ilboru Safari Lodge, a pleasant lodge with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Woven into the surrounding African landscape, Ilboru Safari Lodge rests at the base of the majestic Mt. Meru. Depending on your time of arrival you can do an optional activity organized by the lodge.

Day 2 : Tarangire National park 

Today, after an early breakfast, you will travel to the first national park of this trip, Tarangire national parl  On arrival you will relax at the lodge, and later you will  go for a game drive. 

In the afternoon enjoy a game drive in this small but very beautiful park offering breathtaking views, excellent game viewing and an incredible array of birdlife. Day 2:  Transfer to lake manyara National park 

Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival you will stretch your legs on a 2 to 3-hour village walk in cozy ‘MtoWaMbu’. Here you will meet the local community, taste homemade banana beer, learn about the Makonde woodcarvings and listen to your guide who will tell you everything about the way of living in this village. After the village walk, you will have a local lunch together with the highly respected Miss Bibi which is prepared as a delicious Swahili meal.

Day 3: The Serengeti

After breakfast, you will depart for the most famous safari park in the world: Serengeti National Park.The Serengeti hosts the most extensive population of wild animals on earth and has a complex and untouched ecosystem. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the language of the Maasai, a description that the Serengeti completely lives up to. These endless plains have to be experienced to be fully appreciated!

From the park entrance your game drive will lead you towards your accommodation for the night. After the incredible impressions of the Serengeti, you’ll have your overnight at Tortilis Camp where each safari-tent has an en-suite bathroom, modern furnishings and a private verandah.

Day 4: Game drives in Serengeti National Park

Leave the camp early morning for a full day safari! Ultimately, the success of any safari lies in the number and quality of encounters with big cats. There are thousands of lions in the Serengeti, you have a fair chance to see cheetahs, although they can be difficult to spot, and when it comes to leopards, the Serengeti rarely disappoints!

Enjoy your packed lunch from a great picnic spot and then continue on your safari back for dinner, relaxation at the lodge.

Day 5: Game drives in Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater 

Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater via a long game drive on your way out of the beautiful Serengeti. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. As an UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater offers a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. There are very few places in the world where you can find such a large population of wildlife throughout the year. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, you have a good chance of spotting ‘The Big 5’: the lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard.Approximately 30 000 animals live on the crater floor! 

Day 6: Departure

Today your driver/guide will take you to Arusha on your way to the Kilimangaro airport.

As you fly over the Selous, you will see why this is considered one of Africa’s largest parks. Although a large area has been (unfortunately) set aside for hunting, there is still a lot to enjoy and wildlife to witness. The Rufiji River is teeming with hippo and crocodile, and the birdlife is fantastic. Lion sightings are very common as the opportunistic creatures tend to laze around the lakes waiting for animals coming to drink. One of the attractions of the park is the chance to encounter wild dogs.

Day 2: Selous Game Reserve

Full day in Selous Game Reserve. We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be organized according to your wishes. Your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake up time. For example, the normal safari day would be composed of 2 shared game drives where you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Fly to Ruaha National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip for your flight to Ruaha National Park, passing through the never ending plains of Selous. With some luck you can even witness some animals in their morning routines.

You will reach your next top safari location around 11am, in time for 2 shared game drives and lunch at the chosen property. Ruaha is considered the largest park in Tanzania, particularly good for predators, including very large prides of lions and the endangered wild dog. Later you will venture in the gorilla trekking the trekking can take any time from 1- 3 hours, upon meeting the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour interacting.  Later you will exit the park and head back to the headquarters and reunite with your guide and transfer back to your lodge, relax and have lunch.
